Clean spacious and well presented cottages provide comfortable
accommodation for families, groups and couples. All situated so that the
natural beauty of our surroundings is always close at hand with magnificent
views of the surrounding bush, the tranquil Ovens River or the grand cliffs
of Mt Buffalo.
Catering for 34 guests when fully booked our spacious grounds are never
crowded allowing you to experience the peaceful ambience of the gently
flowing river and enjoy the sounds of the adjacent bush.
Summertime provides a cool and leafy retreat with 150 metres of private
river frontage. Relax and swim in the cool clear water or cast a line and
catch a rainbow trout. Wildlife is a feature of Alpine Park with flocks of
brilliantly coloured King Parrots and Crimson Rosellas and numerous other
birds. You may even see the shy Platypus in the river or an Echidna
foraging in the garden. Possums are in abundance and you may see the
occasional wombat, wallaby or blue tongue lizard. We invite you to
experience the unique magic of Alpine Park that enchants guests and keeps
drawing them back to our little piece of paradise.
Everyone should experience the magnificent Autumn display of colour in the
area with Liquid Ambers, Ash, Maples, Dogwoods and many other deciduous
trees turning on their annual spectacular show.
Visit our Winter wonderland with the snow capped mountains creating a
spectacular backdrop to our beautiful valley. Ski or snowboard at nearby
Falls Creek or Mt Hotham. Maybe take a sight seeing snow tour or toboggan
at Mt Buffalo.
Spring is a symphony of colour with trees in new foliage and the areas
gardens producing masses of blooms.
Attractions
Activities to enjoy during your stay at Alpine Park include scenic
drives and walks, golf, tennis, Paragliding, hang gliding, canoeing, bird
watching and snowsports. Bicycling is a popular way to tour the area on the
Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail or take a light plane or helicopter
flight from nearby Porepunkah airfield.
Take a wine tour and visit some of our Cool Climate wineries or the popular
breweries. Take a horse trail ride in the National Park.

Transportation
From the Hume freeway take the Great Alpine Road from Wangaratta and
Alpine Park is 21kms from the roundabout in Myrtleford.
