General Description
Goomburra Forest Retreat is a 130 acre property on the Southern
Downs, nested in the upper Goomburra Valley, on the Great Dividing Range.
The property borders World Heritage Listed "Main Range National Park.
Goomburra Forest Retreat offers three self contained cottages set in a
beautiful mountain forest. The cottages are spaced well apart for privacy.
Each cottage includes queen size bed with natural wool quilts and anti
allergenic pillows.
Goomburra Forest Retreat implements environment friendly practices, uses
ecologically advanced technology such as solar power and waste water
recycling for irrigation. Rainwater is collected to ensure sustainability
of the environment. Endangered species such as Quolls, the Great Barred
Frog, Black Cockatoos, as well as many other local Fauna can also be found
on Goomburra’s property.
Goomburra is a World Heritage area, which provides superb views over
Laidley Valley, the rugged border ranges to the south, Mount Castle in the
north and the dry open forest contains manna gums.

Walk alongside the isolated and tranquil creek & forest; join the
abundant wildlife & birdlife around Main Range National Park - Goomburra
Section, with numerous bushwalking trails & spectacular lookouts and Swim
in the numerous swimming holes along the creek.
Visit the historic Glengallan Homestead and Gliding is available at Warwick
Airport.
