Transportation
Travelling from Perth, drive south from Bunbury on the South Western
Highway. Once you have reached Balingup and inside the 60km zone, you will
pass the Recreation Centre on your left, and then pass over a bridge across
the Balingup Brook. Immediately past the bridge there is a crossroads with
the General store and Service Station on your right. Turn left here into
Jayes Road. Travel up Jayes Road for approx 300m, passing the Town Hall on
your right. Take the first turn left into Walter Street and go back over
the Balingup Brook on a one-lane bridge. Immediately over this bridge, turn
right into Brook Street (gravel road). Follow Brook Street to the very end.
It will turn left and go up a slight rise and become a narrow one-lane
road. Continue on, and not much further along the street runs into our
driveway. A sign above the righthand gate post says "Chestnut
Brook".
If you are travelling from other directions eg. Bridgetown or Nannup, drive
through Balingup until you reach the General Store (on your left). At the
crossroads here, turn right into Jayes Road and proceed as above.
