Abelia House Bed & Breakfast Lovedale
General Description
Abelia House Bed & Breakfast is home-stay accommodation in the heart
of the Lovedale region in the Hunter Valley, owned and run by David and
Robyn McGain. Situated on five acres, filled with native trees and gardens,
Abelia House is a restful and comfortable home-away-from-home.
On arrival you will enjoy a complimentary afternoon tea, served with fine
china, outside on one of the verandahs, or if its cold, in the lounge room
in front of a roaring open fire. The two bedrooms have ensuites, queen size
beds, tea making facilities, a television and fridge and reverse cycle
air-conditioners.
Breakfast is prepared by Robyn and served at whatever time suits you
(latest 9.30a.m.) During the summer months, it is served on the fully
screened back verandah, where you can look out over the pool and garden, to
the mountains beyond. Spend time wandering the garden, or take a stroll
down to the dam. Find a spot to sit and read, or just enjoy the
surroundings.
Next door to Abelia House is the Leaves and Fishes Cafe and nearby is the
well known Mojos restaurant and several of Lovedale’s famous wineries.
Robyn is an avid gardener and keen textile artist. The quilts on the beds
show both her passion and skill in working with fabric. She loves the many
galleries around the region and is well able to answer questions to help
you plan your day trips. Address
