flora abounds on the Station, and four-wheel drive tours, bushwalking,
scenic flights and cycling are all available. There's even a licensed
restaurant serving country-style food, a swimming pool and general store,

fourth generation locals Tony and Julieanne Smith, the team at Rawnsley

The Station has won three State Tourism Awards and, in 2004, was entered
into the prestigious 'Hall of Fame'. It was one of the first South
Australian tourism businesses to gain official accreditation and, more

Transportation
Rawnsley Park Station is your Central Flinders home base. Located on
the western edge of Wilpena Pound we adjoin the Flinders Ranges National
Park. 420km from Adelaide, a comfortable 5 hour drive on sealed roads.
Rawnsley Park Station gives you the choices to mix your own blend of
authentic outback adventure. Stay on an operating sheep station experience
the awesome natural beauty of this ancient rugged landscape with its'
rocky peaks, deep gorges and improbable formations witness the amazing
biodiversity of plants, birds and animals (especially kangaroos) and couch
it all in your choice of accommodation style. You choose from secluded bush
camping, powered campingcaravan sites, budget cabins, self contained cabins
up to 3 bedrooms or treat yourself to one of our secluded, luxury, 4 Star,
straw-bale construction Eco-villas. We have everything you need in a home
base. A shop supplying a range of groceries (including frozen meat, alcohol
and souvenirs). An internet kiosk which provides wireless facility to
various areas. Petrol and diesel. Playground and outdoor swimming pool.
Restaurant, open daily. All rooms with complete kitchen, heating and
cooling and television, self contained cabins also have a DVD player. To
help you maximise the enjoyment of your Flinders experience we offer an
expert knowledge of all local attractions and touring options available as
well as seasonal attractions and current road conditions. Here at Rawnsley
Park we offer you a range of walking trails of varying length and
difficulty (including a guided morning walk with bush breakfast). We also
