DIRECTIONS: From the airport, between 9 am and 6 pm, take the AirTrain to South Brisbane station,a short taxi ride to us. From the south, take Stanley St exit which leads into Vulture St. after the Mater Hospital. Turn left into Gladstone Rd at the traffic lights at Brisbane High School. Through the lights at the top of the hill, and we are on the left after a stone wall. From the north, cross the Storey Bridge, straight ahead and turn left into Stanley St at the Gabba, then proceed as above. From the west, follow Ipswich Rd through Moorooka and Annerley, then branch left into Annerley Rd Keep going over the railway and past the cemetery, then branch left again into Gladstone Rd. We are about half a km down on the right. Attractions Brisbane is a friendly, subtropical city, on a meandering river surrounded by parkland, walkways, bicycle paths, outdoor restaurants and cafes. Great shopping in the city centre, and interesting markets abound. Australia Zoo and the theme parks of the Gold Coast are within 40 minutes drive.The Ambassador is close to to PA and Mater Hospital and Southbank. Walk to Univerity of Qld across the bridge. Transportation From the south, take the Stanley St. turn off the motorway; follow this past the Mater Hospital into Vulture St., then turn left at the lights into Gladstone Road - we are about a kilometre along on the left after a stone wall. From the North, turn right after the Story Bridge onto River Tce., then follow signs into Stanley St., then proceed as above. From the west along Ipswich Rd, through Moorooka and Annerley, and follow Annerley Rd. round to the left at the pub "the Muddy Farmer". After Dutton Park Railway Station, stay left into Gladstone rd., and we are about half a klm. along on the right. Alternatively,from the Airport, take the Airtrain to Central Station, walk to Adelaide St. (next block-about 100 metres), and catch a 196 or 197 bus to Highgate Hill, stop 14 - outside our door.
